Today is ‘Record Store Day‘! We thought it would be appropriate to show some love (for the Yonge Love project) to a legendary local establishment Play De Record.
I still remember the long journey when I was 14 years old, traveling on the TTC bus/subway from Scarborough to Downtown Toronto just to buy records with my allowance! To this day, I still shop at Play De Record and it’s such a blessing to know that they continue to be a downtown fixture since 1989! This place is one of Yonge Street’s landmark and without it, downtown just wouldn’t be the same.
It really was an honour that LaPointe Productions had the opportunity to provide videography services for this piece on Yonge Love’s profile of Eugene Tam and Jason Palma for Play De Record. We wish them continue success for many years to come.
